I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist. I don't like to let too many people aware of this, but it is true. Want to hear my latest theory? Cell phones. Have you noticed when you call someone and it goes to their voice mail, it is now a long and drawn out process? Think about it, in the past you would hear , for example " Hi, this is Adam leave a message" Followed by a beep and that was it. Now, the ladys voice gives extremely, tedious instructions on what to do, followed by even longer instructions on how to leave a numeric message or how to send a urgent voice mail, etc etc etc....................... Do you know why??????????? All to keep you on the phone longer to make you ultimately use more cell minutes. Doesn't matter what company, Verizon, Cingular, it doesn't matter. In a time where the average person knows more than ever how to "leave a message", we are given more directions than ever. Arent you all glad you don't think like me? It is not easy.
