Sneering Buzzard

Recently I came across the "lost" letters from Ed Abbey. Some are intertaining, talking about his early college days and letters to senators, etc. One letter to a professor was pretty good, escpecially one line that describes my feelings exactly about the world in general. "I must confess that I often tire of my own role as the sneering buzzard on the dead tree. There are times when I envy those with the freedom to hurl themselves into the mob"--Ed Abbey 1979 He wanted to be one of sheep, being led blindy around. But, he was too aware of if. I feel the same.
